Ingredients

  • Assorted cheeses (8 oz each): Brie, aged cheddar, gouda
  • Cured meats (6 oz total): Thinly sliced salami, prosciutto, chorizo
  • Fresh fruit: Strawberries (1 pint), grapes (1 cup), blueberries (ยฝ cup)
  • Nuts: Roasted almonds (ยฝ cup), candied pecans (ยฝ cup)
  • Fresh herbs: Rosemary sprigs, edible flowers (pansies or nasturtiums)
  • White chocolate strawberries: Fresh strawberries (1 pint), white chocolate chips or melting wafers (8 oz), pink candy melts or colored white chocolate (optional, 2 oz), wax or parchment paper
  • Extras: Honey or fig jam (2 tbsp), crackers and crostini (about 2 cups)

Instructions

  1. Rinse and thoroughly dry the strawberries with paper towels; line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Melt white chocolate chips slowly in a double boiler or microwave-safe bowl, stirring frequently.
  3. Dip each strawberry halfway into the melted white chocolate, let excess drip off, and place on parchment paper.
  4. Melt pink candy melts or colored chocolate separately and drizzle thin lines over dipped strawberries for decoration.
  5. Let strawberries set at room temperature or refrigerate for 10-15 minutes until chocolate hardens.
  6. Arrange cheeses on the board, leaving space around each.
  7. Fold or roll cured meats into rosettes or loose piles beside cheeses.
  8. Add grapes and blueberries in small clusters to fill gaps.
  9. Place white chocolate strawberries strategically in floral clusters with edible flowers or rosemary sprigs.
  10. Scatter nuts around the board for texture contrast.
  11. Fill remaining spaces with crackers and crostini, slightly overlapping for a layered look.
  12. Drizzle honey or fig jam lightly over cheeses.

Notes

Dry strawberries thoroughly to prevent chocolate seizing. Use room temperature cheeses and meats for best flavor. Avoid overcrowding the board for an elegant look. Melt white chocolate gently to avoid graininess. Assemble no more than 1 hour before serving. Leftovers can be refrigerated up to 2 days; bring to room temperature before serving.
