A visually stunning and delicious layered punch featuring fresh strawberries, blueberries, and lemonade, perfect for summer parties and patriotic celebrations.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ยฝ cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced (or frozen if fresh are out of season)
  • 1 cup strawberry juice or strawberry lemonade (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar (optional, adjust based on sweetness of berries)
  • 4 cups classic lemonade (freshly squeezed or your favorite brand)
  • 1 cup sparkling water or club soda
  • Ice cubes
  • 1 ยฝ cups fresh blueberries (or frozen, thawed)
  • 1 cup blueberry juice or blueberry lemonade
  • 2 tablespoons honey or agave syrup (optional, for sweetness)
  • Optional garnishes: fresh mint leaves, sliced lemons or limes, extra berries

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Red Layer: In your blender, combine the sliced strawberries, strawberry juice (or strawberry lemonade), and sugar if using. Blend until smooth, about 30 seconds. Pour the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a bowl to remove seeds and pulp. Set aside.
  2. Prepare the Blue Layer: Repeat the same process with the blueberries, blueberry juice, and honey. Blend until pureed, then strain to get a smooth liquid. Set aside.
  3. Mix the White Layer: In a separate bowl, combine the lemonade and sparkling water. Stir gently to mix, then add ice cubes to chill it well.
  4. Start Layering: Pour the red strawberry layer gently into the bottom of the punch bowl, pouring slowly over the back of a spoon held just above the surface.
  5. Add the White Layer: Slowly pour the lemonade and sparkling water mixture over the red layer, again using the back of a spoon to create a soft landing. The ice in this layer helps separate it from the red layer.
  6. Finish with the Blue Layer: Pour the blueberry mixture over the white layer carefully, using the same spoon technique to keep layers distinct.
  7. Garnish: Scatter fresh mint leaves, lemon slices, and extra berries on top for an inviting presentation.
  8. Serve: Provide a ladle or large spoon for guests to gently scoop the layered punch into glasses, making sure to get a bit of each color in every serving.

Notes

Chill all liquids and the punch bowl before assembling to keep layers distinct. Pour slowly over the back of a spoon to avoid mixing layers. Strain berry purees to remove seeds and pulp for smooth layers. Add ice cubes in the white layer to help separate colors. Avoid stirring after assembling to preserve the layered effect. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 days but layers will blend over time.
